SEPTEMBER 13 | POOL PLAY + SEEDING
The SHOWDOWN begins with 8 teams split across 2 pools. Each team will battle through the opening round, with every game counting towards their final seeding. The results from Act I determine the matchups and pathway for the knockout stage.

ACT II THE KNOCKOUT
SEPTEMBER 20 | QUARTER FINALS + SEMI FINALS
Now there’s no room for mistakes. The opening-round seeds determine the knockout matchups, with teams entering a straight knockout bracket. Win and you advance. Lose and your SHOWDOWN is over.
QUARTER FINALS + SEMI FINALS
Every possession matters. Every game is win-or-go-home.
ACT III THE GRAND FINALE
SEPTEMBER 20 | GRAND FINAL
Two teams remain. One final battle.
The winners of the Semi Finals meet for the ultimate SHOWDOWN. One team will survive the pressure, claim the championship and take their place at the top.

SHOWDOWN is a high-level 23yrs and under basketball tournament built around competition, intensity and the ultimate prize earning your roses. Eight teams enter. One team leaves as champion.
WHEN IS SHOWDOWN?
SHOWDOWN takes place across September 13 and September 20.
September 13 — ACT I: THE OPENING ACT Pool play and seeding.
September 20 — ACT II & III Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and the Grand Final.
WHERE IS THE TOURNAMEN?
SHOWDOWN 2026 will be held at Breakdown Basketball Training Facility, located at U7, 46–48 Jedda Road, Prestons NSW 2170.

That works out to just $200 per player when your roster is filled with 8 players.

Awarded to the winner of the SHOWDOWN 3-Point Competition.

WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT?
SHOWDOWN is designed for elite youth basketball players. All participants must be 23 years old or under at the time of the tournament to be eligible for competition.
CAN I BRING GUESTS?
Yes, we encourage fans and family to attend! Details regarding spectator tickets and venue capacity will be shared closer to the event dates.
THE EXPERIENCE
When you step into the SHOWDOWN, you’re stepping into an experience built around competition, pressure and performance.
The stage will be alive with DJs, MC's, while professional photographers, videographers and media capture the battles, the moments and the players making their mark.
Between battles, athletes can reset in the Player Recovery Lounge, with physiotherapy and recovery services available to keep them ready for the next showdown.

SHOWDOWN comes with its own amended rules and competition format, designed to keep the games fast, competitive and built for the SHOWDOWN experience.
All teams will receive the official SHOWDOWN Rules & Regulations upon registration, including the full game format, competition rules and everything teams need to know before taking the court.
WHO ARE THE REFREES?
We source high-level officials with experience in professional and elite youth games to ensure fair and competitive officiating throughout the SHOWDOWN.
